Airbnb
- At least 1024 × 683 pixels. When in doubt, Airbnb says, a bigger photo is better.
- Its photo tips ask for at least 1200 × 800 pixels, and files up to about 10 MB.
- You need at least 5 photos to get started.
- Every room or space needs at least one photo to appear in the photo tour.
- The first 5 photos show big on the listing, and the first is the large one in search.
- Take horizontal photos: search results crop them to squares, and the listing shows them landscape.

Booking.com
- Landscape photos only.
- At least 2048 × 1080 pixels, preferably 4000 × 3000.
- Uploads in JPG, JPEG or PNG, under 47 MB each and at least 1280 × 900 pixels.
- At least 5 photos to finish registering, and at least 10 advised.
- At least 4 photos of each room or unit, plus 1 of the bathroom. A condo hotel: at least 24, covering every apartment type.
- No watermarks, logos or collages, and no heavy filters or excessive HDR.

Agoda
- At least 800 × 600 pixels; 2048 × 1536 displays best.
- Up to 4 MB a photo and 100 MB per upload, in JPG or PNG.
- Photos of the property and of each room type, with one main photo.
What this means for your shoot
- Shoot horizontal. Airbnb and Booking.com both ask for it.
- Photograph every room, bathrooms included. Airbnb's photo tour and Booking.com's room photos need each one.
- Keep a copy of every photo under 4 MB for Agoda.
- Put your best five first. Airbnb shows them big.
- Leave out watermarks, logos and collages.
